Marlane earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin, so she knows the unique challenges of translating theatre acting abilities to film and television.
With so many of the opportunities to be a working actor happening on the big and small screens, Marlane has taught courses and workshops at universities and regional theatres aimed at helping already talented actors launch their film and television careers as well as students who just want to enrich their lives through the arts.
